Music

Music plays a central part in our worshipping life together, from the strong tradition of choral worship in St Mary’s Conwy to Celtic Praise in Llangelynnin and St Benedict’s Gyffin.

Choirs

In Autumn 2021 we launched two new choirs: ‘Canu Conwy’ for 7-13 year olds and ‘Cantorion Celynnin’ for monthly Evensong and special services in St Mary’s Conwy.

See below information about the start of the new term for Canu Conwy!

The Conwy Classical Music Festival, hosted by St Mary’s Conwy, attracts packed audiences every day of the week-long annual July event.  Read about the ‘triumphant return’ of the festival in 2022 here.

When it could not take place in 2020, St Mary’s Conwy was delighted to welcome back live music in summer 2021 with a series of lunchtime concerts.

We also continue to enjoy worship on-line (see our youtube channel).  Below are examples of our home-grown talent!
