Bags of love

Bro Celynnin supports over 70 families with a monthly food shop, much appreciated help in these challenging times.  We also respond to emergency need and have supported families with the supply of school uniforms.

You can support this really important work in lots of ways! From now until 15th December 2022, we are suggesting that a ‘reverse advent calendar’ might help us all to be prompted to include any of the following items in our shopping trolleys – so on any given date, or several, we ‘put in’ instead of receive something.

There are collecting boxes in all our churches. In-date and non-perishable staples please!

  • You may also consider making a one-off or regular financial donation to this work (making sure you let us know that’s what your gift is for).
  • We are always looking for volunteers to join our team to shop and deliver our bags of love. Simply contact us by e-mailing here.

Thank you, Ysgol Llangelynnin, for helping us pack!

  • If you do your shopping in Tesco, Llandudno Junction please take a token at the till each time, and vote for the Bagiau Cariad/Bags of Love food project. The charity with the most votes will receive a £1500 grant from the Tesco Community Foundation. Customer Services in store will also give a token if you show an online delivery receipt. Thank you!
  • January’s ‘green token scheme’ at Asda gave us a very helpful financial windfall. Similarly, thanks for those who helped and those who gave at the recent stall in Tesco, Llandudno Junction. Both of these things have increased our partnership working with businesses and increased visibility in our community, as well as helping us sustain this vital work.
