Good Friday
Dydd Gwener y Groglith
It has been the tradition, over the last few years for many of us to walk with the cross, from Caerhun, in the Conwy Valley, into the heart of Conwy town itself. This is like no other year. So, Reverend David Parry took up the cross alone, and walked from Conwy to the hilltop, ancient church of Llangelynnin. By sharing this reflection, his pilgrimage becomes ours too, as together we mark Dydd Gwener y Groglith – the day of crucifixion – Good Friday.
so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right.
By his wounds you are healed.
Once you were like sheep who wandered away.
But now you have returned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.”
“Cariodd ein pechodau ni yn ei gorff ar y pren,
er mwyn i ni, a’n pechodau wedi mynd, allu byw i wneud beth sy’n iawn.

ond dych chi bellach wedi dod yn ôl at y Bugail sy’n gofalu amdanoch chi.”
Prayer
Christ crucified draw you to himself;
the sure ground of faith,
the firm support for hope
and the assurance of sins forgiven
and the blessing of God Almighty,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
be among you and remain with you always. Amen.

Bydded i’r Crist croeshoeliedig
eich tynnu ato ef ei hun,
sy’n sylfaen ddiogel ffydd,
yn gynhaliwr cadarn gobaith
ac yn sicrwydd maddeuant pechodau
a bendith Duw Hollalluog, y Tad, y Mab a’r Ysbryd Glân
a fo yn eich plith ac a drigo gyda chwi yn wastad. Amen.
