Llangelynnin this Sunday

‘End of Season’ Communion Service Sunday 21st October (3pm)

The last Communion Service of the year will be held at the ancient church of Llangelynnin this Sunday 21st October at 3pm, high on the hills above Conwy. It will mark the end of our 2018 season of monthly services that we have been holding there. This 12th century Church is over 900 feet above the nearest village of Henryd on the South side of Tal-y-Fan, and it has a serenity and ancient beauty that always captures the heart of a pilgrim.

You can join people by walking there, or you can park nearby. If the weather is kind, and you decide to walk, meet in the middle of the three car parks on Sychnant Pass at 1.15pm. Bring waterproof clothing and walking boots. It will be a medium-paced walk up to Llangelynnin Old Church [OS grid reference SH751737]. There are some stiles to negotiate, but there will be plenty of people to help you!

After the Service, we can enjoy the hospitality of Clive and Heather Addison at their home near the Church. There will be hot cups of tea and coffee, homemade cakes, and a welcome loo stop!
