Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

By now, we will all have received with sadness the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Diocesan and national tributes have been paid by the Archbishop and Bishops; and a Choral Holy Eucharist of Requiem for her Late Majesty is being offered this evening at Saint Deiniol’s Cathedral in Bangor at 6pm, where the Assistant Bishop of Bangor will preach, and the Choir will sing Gabriel Fauré’s setting of the Requiem.

The Bishop offers these words of consolation and prayer:

May Queen Elizabeth rest in peace and rise in glory. We give thanks for her strong faith and we pray for her family.

God bless us all with hope in times of grief. Speak to us your words of life, calm our fears, and lead us to put our whole trust in your eternal love. Amen.

Gracious God, we give thanks
for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth, for her faith and her dedication to duty. Bless our nation as we mourn her death and may her example continue to inspire us; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
