The Reverend David Parry is running the London Marathon this Sunday 28th April to raise money for ActionAid, which is a global federation working for a world free from poverty and injustice.
This international charity helps the education and life-chances of girls and women. It works to achieve social justice and gender equality, and to eradicate poverty. Women are often underpaid, undervalued and at risk. They pay the highest price of unjust policies and patriarchal societies.
Everybody has the right to a life of dignity, that’s free from poverty and oppression. Climate Change is a crisis that’s destroying lives and livelihoods worldwide, and women are particularly affected by this.
