Easter Celebrations

It’s been a wonderful week of celebration and worship as we welcomed Easter. Services of reflection in all our churches through the week, the Easter Experience for local schoolchildren, and two walks, one with the cross on Good Friday, and a second ‘to Emmaus’ on Easter Monday, where walkers walked with ‘Jesus’ (Rev. Phil Hughes) in reflection of the story of Jesus appearing to his disciples after his resurrection. Easter Sunday saw communion at 4 of our 5 churches, including a dawn communion in Llangelynnin full of joy and love, and a choral Eucharist in St. Mary’s Conwy, which saw 150 in the congregation. Thank you to all of the priests and Lay preachers for providing such a thoughtful programme of services this week, and to all in our community who have worked so hard to bring these truly wonderful experiences to life.

The video below is a snippet of the opening Hymn on Easter day sung by the St. Mary’s Church Choir.
