The story of the Transfiguration of Jesus on the mount is told in the Gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark and Luke, and Saint Peter also refers to it in his Second Epistle. God’s salvation is for us all, and Christ is that Saviour.
The testimony of the law, and the prophets to Jesus, are given by the presence of Moses and Elijah. The Transfiguration helps them to imagine the resurrection, and gives them an insight into the life of glory.
