A time to remember

Next weekend, there will be Events and Services that the whole community are invited to. Take a moment to look at the list below, and receive this as your invitation. Please also tell people who would appreciate being there.

We understand that as well as honouring those who gave their lives in service, Remembrance Sunday can also provide an opportunity for those living with the pain of loss, to find comfort in God’s presence, with a gentle Service of prayer, music, and the lighting of a candle.

10.45am Armistice Day Communion (2004) at St. Mary’s Church in Caerhun
11.30am Communion Service at St. Mary’s Church in Conwy following a Bodlondeb Cenotaph Service and Parade through the town to the Church
2.30pm Act of Remembrance at St. Agnes Graveyard in Conwy
6pm Battle’s O’er Commemorative WW1 Centenary Service at St. Peter’s Church in Llanbedr-y-Cennin

Armistice Day (Battle’s O’er)

Commemorative Service to mark the Centenary of the end of the First World War is being held at St. Peter’s in Llanbedr-y-Cennin on 11th November 2018 (6pm). The Service will include hymns, and readings from the Great War, such as those from Hedd Wynn, Siegfried SassoonEdward Thomas, and Wilfred OwenIt will be a Nation’s Tribute to the millions of people who lost their lives or were wounded in battle, so that we could enjoy freedom today. It will finish with the Ringing Out for Peace (7.05pm).

This weekend at St. Mary’s Church in Conwy!

Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th October

St. Mary’s Church in Conwy is at the heart of the Gwledd Conwy Feast (a food and arts festival in the town). Admission is free to all the activities in the Church. There’s something for all the family, including Lunchtime Concerts and Children’s Workshops with a potter, an artist in residence, storytelling and crafts aplenty. There will even be a Spectacular Projected Light Show by digital artist Andy McKeown, with Live Choirs and Musicians. It will be an absolute feast for all the senses!
