EASTER 2021

This year, we celebrated Holy Week and Easter with a wonderful mixture of an Easter Trail around Conwy for families, worship videos, a zoom service, the re-opening of our church buildings for services, a broadcast on Radio Wales and collaborations with St John’s Methodist Church, Conwy and St James Anglican Church in Fergus, Ontario. Below are the videos we released and a link to the radio broadcast. We hope that they continue to bless you with the resurrection hope of Jesus.

We were so pleased to be able to offer ‘Waiting for the Light’ as a joint Taize service with St James Fergus, Ontario with participation from those from Bro Celynnin. You can download the service sheet, with all the words and music on the link below. Why not light a candle and bring it to your screen?

Maundy Thursday

Melanie Cross plays a haunting ‘Ubi Caritas’ on cor anglais, followed by a reflection by Rev David Parry.

Good Friday

Hazel Sturt brings us a beautiful version of ‘When I survey the wondrous cross’, followed by a reflection by Rev Eryl Parry.

Easter Day

We celebrate Easter with an anthem composed this year by Chris Roberts who is also one of our singers in the concluding famous Welsh resurrection hymn ‘Pan oedd Iesu dan yr hoelion’. Rev David Parry brings us a message from our hilltop church of Llangelynnin.

Celebration Broadcast: Easter Morning

The 7:30am BBC Radio Wales Celebration Service came from St Mary’s Conwy with choir and congregational singing which was recorded last year, and reflections, prayers and reading recorded this year by Archdeacon of Bangor Mary Stallard, Rev David and Rev Eryl Parry.
